On March 7th 2023, Saturn moved onto 0*Pisces and began his 3-year journey through this mysterious water sign. For those who understand how astrology works, this event will bring unique changes and opportunities into our lives. With careful reflection, we can make use of the energies in this transit period to create a better future for ourselves.
As we enter the second quarter of this year, it is time to prepare for a cosmic shift in energy as both celestial giants Saturn and Neptune transit through the sign of Pisces for the next 3 years until 2026. Neptune and Saturn will be moving closer and closer together in Pisces, until eventually crossing into the sign of Aries in complete conjunction, marking an extremely rare and significant moment in our astrological skies in February 2026. This planetary event will have huge implications for all signs and humanity as a whole. Saturn’s entry into Pisces marks the beginning of this immense shift.
The truth is that Saturn is not comfortable in Pisces, he is too heavy to float, too rigid to swim, and too slow to flow - he is a rock in the water. Saturn is a planet of structure, boundaries and responsibility, these qualities are not easily expressed in Pisces which is a dreamy sign of visions, adaptability and surrender, that dislikes confrontation and limitation. The ruler of Pisces, Neptune is actually the ancient son of Saturn and they would have been having a great family time together if it wasn’t for one thing - long-long time ago Saturn ate Neptune when he was a newborn (just like he did his other children) out of fear that he would eventually overpower him.
Needless to say, Neptune wasn't too pleased with the situation, and till today, things are very awkward between the two. Even after being spat out in a purging spasm, caused by his brother Jupiter, who saved all of his brothers and sisters from spending the rest of eternity prisoned inside Saturn, Neptune is still apprehensive about hosting his primordial father in his own home, to say the least.
The ocean waters were in charge of keeping Saturn’s genitals hidden, after being cut off by Jupiter and thrown there, therefore in Pisces Saturn feels castrated and confused, spending endless days looking for his, well…member. This story helps us understand that Saturn and Neptune do not necessarily enjoy family reunions and have a lot of karmic issues to work on- no wonder Saturn is the ruler of Karma. Here in Pisces Saturn is under constant surveillance and deemed as dangerous.
Because Saturn is not welcome in Pisces, people with a strong influence of Neptune and Pisces in their charts have a hard time exhibiting classic Saturnian qualities: commitment, seriousness, maturity, responsibility and strict boundaries. Neptune likes to be everywhere and nowhere at the same time, terrified of facing any Karmic consequences or taking on any Karmic responsibility. However, the sheer fact of his ancient father’s presence in Pisces is presenting Poseidon (Neptune) with some very important lessons and dilemmas.
How do you treat a dangerous criminal, with a record of eating his children, without any boundaries or separation present? How do you make sure you do not fall into the same Karmic trap as your father without having any responsibility or commitment to your family structure? How do you make sure Saturn does not take over again without having to develop staying power first and qualities like consistency and perseverance? In other words, even though Neptune in Pisces strongly dislikes the idea of settling and getting serious, with Saturn in his house - he has no choice, he must become responsible or he will get eaten again and lost in the endless labyrinth of Saturn’s dark bowels, waiting to be saved for eons.
Understanding the details of this story aids us in identifying the influences and the deeper dynamics of this important transit. This is the ultimate Saturn Return for Humanity as a whole, in a way we must collectively grow out of our dreamy state of innocence which dooms us into ignorance and victimhood, making us way too vulnerable to abuse by authoritarianism and powers seeking to take advantage of our lack of serious boundaries and our careless attitudes. As much as we hate growing up and losing our precious innocence, naive and frivolous attitudes can cost us our freedom and sanity during this Saturn Return. In other words - humanity must grow up!
Saturn is here in the next 3 years to teach us maturity and wisdom. As much as we dislike seeing our precious children growing out of their adorable childish ways, struggling to follow rules and to become serious, if you are a parent, you know that for the sake of their own well-being and survival, they must be disciplined. Luck of difficult and testing experiences, aka initiatory practices in this world will doom them into victimhood existence and dependency on those who will take advantage of their incompetence.
Discipline is the opposite of fun, in fact it is when you have to give up the fun and face your fears and inadequacies. This can be very difficult to achieve for a Piscean archetype, who believes that staying unattached to anything makes him holly, open and available to fulfill God’s desire, able to answer his call at any moment. In the age of Pisces, these attitudes were supported by our celestial parents, who up until now acted as our spiritual guides and guardians, saving us from consequences as any caretaker would do for a child. In the Age of Aquarius however we are in a very different territory and if we do not realize it over the next 3 years of maturing Saturnian experiences in the 12th house of the collective, we will enter the new era severely compromised - we must wake up!
In the next 3 years it's essential that we focus on our personal development, create healthy boundaries, and take responsibility for our beliefs. Saturn is the planet of initiation into maturity through facing fear, pain and hardship and we must get through this test to survive. The lessons learned during this transit will help us move towards a brighter future with newfound clarity and wisdom. Let’s all take a minute to pay our respects and gratitude to Astrology, which will save us all by announcing The Time, warning and awakening us to this massive cosmic archetypal energy changes, serving as an alarm clock to humanity. Ring-a-Ding-Ding!! THE TIME IS NOW!
Till next time…
Much love to all
